I Wouldn’t Mind
My ears are filled with fun.’s “Aim & Ignite” today.
So today’s band is probably the least well known of all the bands I’ve covered so far. I’m a pretty big fan of purevolume.com just because I think it’s a great way to find new music. That being said, that website introduced me to the music of duo He Is We.
Everyone’s going to hate me for saying this, but I’m not generally a fan of female vocalists. That being said, I adore Rachel’s voice. SERIOUSLY, where did she get it? Because I want one. It’s one of the first things the I noticed when I heard “Blame It On The Rain.” The second thing I noticed was the lyrics. They’re so honest and relatable, something that always scores points with me…come to think of it, from what I’ve heard from fellow fans, those two words describe Rachel and Trevor themselves. They seem to be incredibly straightforward and real, even though they have a deal with a major label and are making music few people ever could.
To sum it all up, if I had to give you one reason to listen to He Is We, it would probably be because their music is going to strike a chord with you no matter what’s happening. Whether you’re sad (“Radio”), frustrated (“Pardon Me”) or head-over-heels in love (“I Wouldn’t Mind”), He Is We has got something for you. If I still haven’t persuaded you, give them a listen and tell me it didn’t make you happy. It’s like having hot cocoa and cinnamon toast curled up with your favorite book on a snowy day.
Yeah, it’s that good.
PS-While these guys haven’t got an album yet, you can listen to most of their music on their myspace or purevolume page.

[...] This blog named Follow To The End has review the band He Is We. It describes exactly how I felt when I first heard them. It’s not all that in depth and not that long but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t read it. Check it out here. [...]
